multimethod is a creative strategic design firm based in Portland, Oregon.

The firm is comprised of two principals, Jeremy Swartz, creative director/curator, and Wade Larsen, art director/graphic designer. Since our inception we have strived to use multi-methodological creativity as a force for good. Sustainability, ethical awareness, and thrivability have always been the core of our values and greatly influence our approach to every project we accept. Multimethod has collaborated with Universities, Non-Profits, Community Organizations, Ecological Trusts, Record Labels, Farms, Publishers, and International Conferences.

Conference Branding + Identity Systems

multimethod recently collaborated with the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) and the University of Oregon (UO) School of Journalism and Communication on branding and developing digital and print media for the IAMCR 2018 Conference.

multimethod sponsored designs for UO Portland’s What is…? Conference Series including: What is Media? (2016) with the NW Film Center/Portland Art Museum, What is Life? (2017) with the Portland Japanese Garden, and What is Universe? (2018). Swartz curated the three integrated exhibitions: HABITATS (2016), LIFEWORLDS (2017), and MULTIVERSE (2018).

Book Covers + Logos + Web Development

multimethod conceptualizes and produces covers with academic publishers, including Routledge/Taylor & Francis Group
 and Polity Books.

The firm has created brand identities, web design and development for the Eugene Makerspace, Agrarian Ales, Ecotrust’s People & Place and Imaginify Community Network.

Poster Work + Event Design

multimethod has designed academic posters for the UO and Portland State University (PDX), in addition to interdisciplinary events including metaphi (2010) and Metamedia Cooperation I-II-III (2005–2007).
